In this fun, beginner-friendly class, we’ll break down the basics of sublimation printing — what it is, how it works, and what you can create with it. We’ll talk about printers, inks, papers, heat presses, and the kinds of blanks that work best. You’ll see real examples, learn practical tips, and get answers to the questions most people are too afraid to ask. Whether you’re thinking about adding sublimation to your crafting hobby or turning it into a side hustle, this class will give you the confidence to dive in. No pressure, no fluff — just friendly guidance, hands-on insight, and a chance to see the magic for yourself.
After the class, stop by the Quail Street Designs booth and head to our Make & Take table. For a small fee, you’ll get to choose from a variety of sublimation blanks — like tumblers, cutting boards, ornaments, and more — and create your very own magic to take home. You’ll prepare and press it yourself (with a little help, if you need it) and see just how fun sublimation can be. Hands-on, colorful, and totally doable.

In this class, you’ll paint and assemble your very own standing wooden gnome — complete with layered tail feathers, a buckle pilgrim hat, and plenty of personality. It’s beginning to look a lot like handmade! In this cheerful session, you’ll stain, paint, and assemble your very own 2-foot holiday leaner featuring “Ho Ho Ho” and an adorable layered Santa. It’s the perfect size for mantels, entryways, shelves, or part of a larger Christmas display.
We’ll walk you though each step using quick-dry stain wipes and vibrant paints — no mess, no stress! If you don’t finish in class, no worries your project parts will be neatly packed in a take-home baggie so you can add the final touches later with your cocoa in hand. No experience needed — just bring your holiday spirit and a love for crafting!
